In 1986, the Québec immigrant investor program was established. The program aims to allow entrepreneurs or business people and their families on an absolute basis become a permanent resident of Québec. To qualify for citizenship or residency, applicants must fulfill one of the investment options below in addition to meeting the following criteria:

Arton Investments is such a financial institution duly recognized by the Investissement Quebec (IQ) and Immigration Authorities of Quebec (MIDI)

Under the financed investment option, investors pay a reduced amount that is used to finance a CA$800,000 closed 62-month term loan from a chartered bank. This loan is received and repaid at no further cost and without new guarantees from the applicant.

Investors and members of their family who have lived in Canada for three out of the four years (1,095 days) before the application. Have adequate knowledge of French, English or both, have acquired knowledge of the rights and responsibilities of citizenship, have no criminal record, as well as an understanding of Canada’s values, institutions, symbols, and history are eligible to apply for citizenship.
